A word from Canon Jen…
Hello and welcome to the website for the Grouped Parishes of Cleenish and Mullaghdun. However you have found us, you are welcome.
We are a Church of Ireland parish in the diocese of Clogher. The Church of Ireland is part of the worldwide family of Anglican (Episcopal) churches. The Grouped Parishes of Cleenish and Mullaghdun Parish is situated on the west side of Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. It is a rural parish which runs from the shores of Lough Erne in Cleenish to the border with the Republic of Ireland at Belcoo and is concentrated around the villages of Bellanaleck and Letterbreen.
Cleenish and Mullaghdun is a small but vibrant parish with about 150 families; our vision is to be a people who live in unity as faithful Christians whose lives reflect the good news of the Gospel, and as such we are open and welcoming to visitors and strangers. Our mission is to witness to our Lord Jesus Christ through living what we believe: speaking the truth in love, welcoming and showing hospitality to all, demonstrating ourselves as an integral part of our community and society and reaching out to those in need. We value each parishioner and visitor for their unique worth in the sight of God. Our aim is to help people of all ages to grow in faith and we participate fully in the life of the family of the church. The Bible is central to our Christian belief and teaching, following the Revised Common Lectionary and the Book of Common Prayer is an important, central and valued part of our expression of worship. We have Sunday School in both churches and a range of uniformed organisations for children take place in Cleenish Parish Hall.
I hope you enjoy visiting our website and that you gain an insight into our worship and parish activities. We also have a Facebook page – where you will find topical postings and reports of recent events. If you are in the area you would be most welcome to come along to any of our services. If you would like further information please feel free to leave a message through the contact form.
Wishing you God’s richest blessings.

ABOUT THE CHURCHES
Cleenish Parish Church was built around 1763 in Bellanaleck village and is situated six miles from Enniskillen, close to the shores of Lough Erne. It takes it's name from the nearby island of Cleenish which was one of a series of important monastic sites on Lough Erne and where the original church was situated. In the church there are three stained glass windows.
BRIEF ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
Eighteenth-century hall and tower; Welland & Gillespie added east window, cantilevered west gallery and benches in 1869. Two seventeenth-century monuments.
Mullaghdun Parish Church is situated 4 miles from Letterbreen off the A4 Enniskillen to Belcoo road. The Parish of Mullaghdun was originally established as a rural curacy out of the greater parish of Cleenish in 1817 and a church was constructed on the present site. A modern church hall at Letterbreen also serves the Parish. In 1978 the two parishes of Cleenish and Mullaghdun were amalgamated.
